This video describes a surgical procedure for a 9-week-old infant weighing 4.5 kg. The child suffered from congenital left upper lobe emphysema, which affected his breathing in addition to the heart and mediastinal shifting. The baby’s operation was carried out via Uniportal VATS technique without complications. To our knowledge, this is the first operation of this kind performed at this age and weight. It is highly recommended that this procedure should be performed only by a surgeon with high experience in VATS techniques in adults and older children and in highly specialized centers.
